Park in Arizona
Saguaro National Park
Seven routes welcome leashed dogs across both districts, from short paved trails to dirt roads. Everything else is off limits.
Where dogs can go
- Only the routes listed below, in the east and west districts.
- Leash no longer than 6 feet, at all times.
Off limits for dogs
- All trails not on the dog-friendly list.
Good to know, from the park
- Hot desert sand often burns paws. Heat stroke has killed otherwise healthy animals.
- Cactus spines, rattlesnakes, scorpions, and open mine shafts are hazards. Keep your dog out of bushes and rocks at road edges.
- Dogs in new places may not drink even when offered water.
- Cyclists are common and may not expect dogs. Pack out all dog waste.
