Olympic National Park
A short list of trails and beaches welcome leashed dogs, including Rialto Beach to Ellen Creek and the Kalaloch beaches. Other trails and the wilderness are off limits.
Where dogs can go
- Only the trails and beaches listed below.
- Drive-in campgrounds and picnic areas.
- Paved or dirt roads.
- Leash no longer than 6 feet, at all times.
Off limits for dogs
- Any trail not on the list.
- Public buildings, interpretive walks, and the wilderness.
- Tidal rocks.
Camping with your dog: Pets are welcome in drive-in campgrounds.
Good to know, from the park
- Keep dogs off tidal rocks. Sharp stone, barnacles, and mussels can cut paws and cause infection.
- Do not leave pets alone. Summer heat is a danger to pets left in cars.
- Do not let your dog dig or roll on plants.
