Dogs can walk the Pacific Crest Trail on the park's east edge, plus campgrounds, parking lots and paved roads. Every other trail is off limits.

- The Pacific Crest Trail on the park's east border, the only trail exception.
- Leash no longer than 6 feet, at all times.
Off limits for dogs
- All trails except the Pacific Crest Trail.
- The non-PCT sections of the Naches Peak Loop Trail.
- Wilderness and off-trail areas, buildings, amphitheaters, roads closed for winter, and snow.
- Carbon River Road and Westside Road.
Camping with your dog: Pets are allowed in campgrounds.
Good to know, from the park
- Wildlife such as deer, bears, and mountain lions may attack pets.
- Steep slopes, icy snow, and cliffs can cause fatal falls. Rivers can sweep pets away.
- Do not let your dog eat anything it finds in the park.
- There are no kennels in the park. Bring waste bags, food, and water.
