Cuyahoga Valley National Park

No reviews yetWrite a review

Over 100 miles of hiking trails welcome leashed dogs, plus the flat Towpath Trail. A great park for dogs who are just getting started.

Where dogs can go

  • Over 100 miles of hiking trails
  • The multi-use Towpath Trail
  • Leash no longer than 6 feet, at all times.

Off limits for dogs

  • Park buildings and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad
  • East Rim mountain bike trails
  • Virginia Kendall Hills during sledding

Good to know, from the park

  • Staying on trail and on leash cuts down on poison ivy, ticks and wildlife run-ins.
  • Note which trailhead restrooms have water before you set out.
  • Take extra care when trails are icy, snowy or muddy.
